Total Control™ system makes guest seating management simpler
Dallas, TX –Managing a restaurant is hectic. Staff are constantly monitoring tables, seating guests and updating the wait list. At the same time, they are trying to calm waiting guests, answer the phones, and contact managers. Long Range Systems (LRS) has made all those tasks much easier with Total Control™, the innovative approach to complete seating management.
“This affordable, all-in-one system combines reservations, call-ahead seating, wait list management, guest and staff paging, and table management,” explains Jim Livingston, vice president of sales at LRS. “It helps turn tables faster, improve customer service and maintain guest satisfaction.”
Total Control streamlines guest interaction even before the guest walks into the restaurant. The small T7500 desktop transmitter, the heart of the Total Control system, features a step-by-step Reservation Wizard program that lets staff add, delete or edit reservations quickly. They can enter reservations right from the host station or from the back office on any internet-connected computer. It’s easy to use because it features simple-to-follow on-screen prompts. Reservations can be made as early as the same day or up to a year in advance.
Once guests arrive, Total Control can add them to a wait list during peak hours. The system works with any of the six guest pagers offered by LRS (available separately) that let guests know the moment their table is ready. The T7500 even offers cell phone paging. An optional “Guest View” monitor interface allows guests to see how much longer they have to wait. A small T900 handheld transmitter included with the system reduces host stand congestion by allowing guests to be placed on a wait list from anywhere in the restaurant. This feature is ideal for restaurants with more than one entry.
Table management is now state of the art with Total Control. The FOH staff can update table status, including “bus”, “open”, and “close” options, right at the hostess stand. They can even transfer parties to different tables very easily. Staff members can also use the T900 handheld transmitter to update table status quickly right on the floor. This eliminates staff running back and forth to check tables, and it helps seat guests even faster. Total Control can even send the name of the party being seated to any server wearing an LRS alphanumeric pager. It can also page a manager when needed.
Upgrades can be downloaded quickly via the Internet, so the Total Control system can always stay up to date. Plus, to help management with operational planning and improvements, optional reports are available that provide valuable historical data pertaining to wait times and table turns.
